Which nameservers or DNS settings to use

Updated 1 week ago 3 views

Your domain must point to our hosting. Choose the option that matches your domain.

Option A: Your domain is registered through us

Use these nameservers:

  • dns1.name-services.com
  • dns2.name-services.com
  • dns3.name-services.com
  • dns4.name-services.com
  • dns5.name-services.com

See How to change nameservers.

Option B: Your domain is registered with another company (recommended)

  1. Log in to your registrar.
  2. Set these nameservers: saku-xv.kawanda.net and cdns.ovh.net.
  3. Save the changes.

With this option, you manage all DNS records in the cPanel Zone Editor. Website, email and SSL work automatically.

Option C: Your domain is registered elsewhere and you keep your own DNS

Use this option only if you want to keep your current DNS provider.

  1. Log in to cPanel. Copy the Shared IP Address from the General Information panel on the home page. It is also in your welcome email.
  2. Log in to your DNS provider.
  3. Create an A record for @ with your Shared IP Address as the value.
  4. Create an A record for www with the same value.
  5. For email with us, create an MX record that points to saku-xv.kawanda.net. If you use another email provider, keep their MX records.

With this option, the cPanel Zone Editor does not control your domain. Make all DNS changes at your own provider.

Notes

  • DNS changes can take up to 24–48 hours.
